At The Society of Child Entrepreneurs, we believe leadership is something children practice, not something they wait for.

That belief comes to life at our Children’s Business Fairs.

At these events, kids build real businesses. They price their work, set up booths, talk to customers, and handle money. They experience the excitement of selling something they created and the lessons that come from trying, adjusting, and trying again.

But one challenge continues to come up.

Not every child can travel to our larger events.

Some families cannot drive across town. Some communities do not yet have access to entrepreneurship opportunities for kids. And some events invite us to participate but do not have the infrastructure needed for young vendors.

So we are building a solution.

Introducing the SoCE Mobile Market

The SoCE Mobile Market will allow us to bring the Children’s Business Fair experience directly into neighborhoods, schools, and community events.

Instead of asking families to come to us, we can take entrepreneurship to them.

With a mobile setup, we can host pop up markets at festivals, school events, community centers, and local gatherings. More kids will be able to participate. More communities will get to meet young entrepreneurs. And more children will have the chance to experience what it feels like to turn an idea into action.

What We Need

To launch the Mobile Market, we are raising about $950 to purchase the equipment needed to create a safe and professional marketplace for child entrepreneurs.

Our equipment list includes:

• 1 large 10×20 event tent
• 9 folding vendor tables
• 12 folding chairs
• 4 tent weights (30 lb each)
• 9 fitted spandex table covers

This setup will allow us to host eight child businesses at a time and run mobile markets throughout the year.
