Today is my birthday, and I’m excited to share it with all of you! As I celebrate my birthday, I want to take a moment to reflect on what has shaped who I am today, the work I’m passionate about, and the amazing journey ahead for The Society of Child Entrepreneurs (SoCE).
I’m Leah Ellis, a mom of four, a troop leader for Girl Scouts, an entrepreneur, and the proud founder of The Society of Child Entrepreneurs. I believe in the power of empowering others, fostering growth, and building strong communities. Motherhood has always been at the center of everything I do. My children inspire me to lead by example, to show them the values of leadership, resilience, and love, and to never stop learning and growing alongside them.
As a mom and an advocate for young minds, I’ve seen firsthand how important it is to nurture the entrepreneurial spirit in children. That’s why I founded SoCE—to equip kids with the skills, mindset, and tools they need to succeed in an ever-evolving world. Through our hands-on programs, workshops, and mentorship, we teach children the essentials of business, leadership, and financial literacy. These are not just lessons for the future—they are skills they can use today, right now, to solve problems, think creatively, and build their dreams.
In addition to running SoCE, I create personalized wedding ceremonies with Nerdy Nuptials ICT and help couples lay a solid foundation for their future with financial and life coaching. I love to create personalized, fun, and meaningful wedding ceremonies that reflect each couple’s unique love story, passions, and fandoms, all with a focus on inclusivity, creativity, and joy. I’m proud to be part of so many couples’ journeys, supporting them as they start their lives together with intention and purpose.
Among my many roles is the role of Girl Scout Leader. Leading these incredible girls has been a privilege. Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. Seeing these girls take on challenges and discover their full potential is a constant reminder of the power of nurturing young people and helping them grow into the best versions of themselves.
As I look ahead to 2025 and the year to come, I’m filled with excitement about all the opportunities that lie ahead for SoCE. We’ve already made strides in helping kids become entrepreneurs, but there’s so much more to do. In the coming year, we plan to expand our programs, reach more families, and continue inspiring the next generation of leaders and innovators. I can’t wait to see how our community grows and how these young entrepreneurs continue to inspire us all.
On my birthday, I’m filled with gratitude for the amazing work we’ve done so far and the incredible impact we can have on the lives of children and families. And as I look forward to the year ahead, I’m more excited than ever to continue making a difference, alongside my incredible community, and to help shape a future where every child has the opportunity to succeed.
Here’s to another year of growth, learning, and empowering the next generation of change-makers. Thank you for being part of this journey. I can’t wait to see what we accomplish together in 2025 and beyond!
With Gratitude and Excitement,
Leah Ellis
