Child Entrepreneurs Unleashed

Discover the Amazing Innovations at the Childrens’ Business Fair!

On September 8, from 2 PM to 5 PM, the Goddard Children’s Business Fair will host 10-15 Child Entrepreneurs at the Goddard Community Center. This event is FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC during the final Goddard Main Street Market of 2024. This is an excellent opportunity for families to engage with their children’s creativity and for local residents to support the future leaders of our community.

Child Entrepreneurs create a product or service, develop a brand, build a marketing strategy, and then open for customers at this one-day marketplace. The children are responsible for the setup, sales, and customer interaction. Any parent seen selling to the customer or promoting the child’s product will result in disqualification from the competition.

This event is sponsored by The Society of Child Entrepreneurs, the Goddard Chamber of Commerce, Acton Academy, the Acton Next Great Adventure, and the generous support of our donors and volunteers, who all believe that principled entrepreneurs are heroes and role models for the next generation.

Leah Ellis, Director of The Society of Child Entrepreneurs and Event Organizer, said, “I love seeing the amazing things these kids do and talking to them about their plans for the future. They are already inspirational, and we aim to teach them even more.”

Whether an entrepreneur is famous, like Elon Musk or Oprah Winfrey, or one of the thousands of unsung business owners across this country, these entrepreneurs are the people who make sacrifices to innovate, create jobs, and serve their communities.

Cash prizes will be awarded in each of the four age groups (5-7, 8-10, 11-12, and 13-16) for “Most Business Potential,” “Most Creative Idea,” and “Most Impressive Presentation.”

Both adult sponsors and shockingly articulate children are available for interviews on camera or off.
