We made it! There is no denying that the Children’s Business Fair is a labor of love and hard work for everyone involved. Siblings, parents, and young entrepreneurs must work together and balance schedules to make time and space for an event like this. Yesterday, we enjoyed the fruits of that labor and had an unforgettable first Fair here in Goddard!

Our kids have already been invited to a Goddard Main Street Market, might have a place at Christmas on Main Street, and seemed eager to prepare for the next Children’s Business Fair. The dates for those events are below, but I will meet with Angie at the Chamber of Commerce in the coming weeks to determine our fall schedule, so these may change.

While I couldn’t be prouder of the turnout at our event, it’s clear that we’ve quickly outgrown our initial location. I will work with Mayor Liebe and the City of Goddard to secure the Community Center for our winter and future events. This move will accommodate our numbers and ensure a more comfortable and enjoyable experience for vendors and shoppers.

As we finalize this Fair and move forward with planning the next, I have created two anonymous surveys to collect information on what we can do better next time. Please take a moment to fill out the “For Parents” survey and have your entrepreneurs complete the “For Business Owners” survey. For businesses with multiple owners, have each entrepreneur complete the survey separately. Links to both surveys are included at the bottom of this email.

Once again, thank you for supporting the Acton Children’s Business Fair – Goddard and the budding entrepreneurs we are raising. I couldn’t have done this without all the parents’ support.
